
About the program
Project Platypus will inspire your students to take action to assist Platypus survival in our local waterways.
Students will build their skills enabling them to;
• Assess stream health
• Understand natural platypus behavior
• Learn about appropriate indigenous plants
• Organise creek and stream clean ups
• Recognise which household products are best for the environment
At the Sanctuary students will explore the tranquil natural habitat of the Platypus with the experts and be actively involved in:
• a hands-on streamside audit
• Platypus behavior observation
• habitat assessment & planting ideas
• yabby meet-and-greet and water testing.
