Werribee Open Range Zoo offers a broad range of VCE programs aligned with the VCE study designs in Biology and Psychology.

  • The Social Savannah (Psychology)

    Our Vervet Monkey troupe will engage students as the intricacies of their social hierarchy are discussed. Students will collect, compare and analyse quantitative and qualitative data and gain an understanding of ethics in relation to research on animals.

    It can get hot in the savannah. How do the animals cool down and conserve their water loss? This program provides students with many opportunities to observe, analyse and hypothesise about how the adaptations animals have may be used to control temperature and regulate water balance.
