Celebrities visit Smugglers Beware exhibit

The new winter exhibit at Werribee Open Range Zoo is proving popular with visitors and television celebrities since its recent opening.

Television personality and former swimming champion, Giaan Rooney, performed a live weather cross from the exhibit, as did Channel Ten News weatherman, Mike Larkan. Both presenters had some extremely close encounters with snakes and lizards.

Western Bulldogs captain, Brad Johnson, also dropped by to say hello and do his regular footy tips.

Presenter James Sherry from Coxy's Big Break also enjoyed a visit to the exhibit this week when he filmed an upcoming Zoo feature that will highlight the new winter exhibit. The story is expected to air in late August!

The exhibit, which highlights the enormous impacts of wildlife smuggling on flora and fauna, runs until October 4.
