Zoos Victoria welcomes the proposed Truth in Labelling - Palm Oil Bill introduced to the Australian Senate last week by Senator Nick Xenophon and co-sponsored by Senator Bob Brown and Senator Barnaby Joyce.

The proposed Bill is a big step forward in the fight to get palm oil labelled and Zoos Victoria would like to thank the 55,000 people who have signed their name to the Don't Palm us Off campaign. It's because of your support that this proposed Bill has been created.

The Bill calls for the compulsory laeblling of palm oil in relevant food products and encourages the use of certified sustainable palm oil.
